Blank Space Café Rebranding
Role
Product Designer, Product Branding, Visual design
May 2018 - June 2018
Background
I was tasked to redesign a local Seattle-based Company of my choice. I selected a bubble tea shop in downtown Seattle called Blank Space Cafe.
Logo Sketch
I started off by doing a sketching sprint of new logos for Blank Space Café. What inspired me for the sketch I selected in the end was incorporating and illustration of one of their main products, bubble tea, within the logo.
Logo Version #1
From the sketch, I took things over into Illustrator and created a digital version. I made some changes from the original sketch by removing the 'b' from the actual bubble tea illustration.
Logo Version #2
From the sketch, I took things over into Illustrator and created a digital version. I made some changes from the original sketch by removing the 'b' from the actual bubble tea illustration.
Final Logo Design
After getting feedback on the previous versions, I changed the typography of the logo to better reflect the atmosphere of the cafe.
Website Analysis
At the time of this project, Blank Space Cafe had a simple website listing their cafe locations. I redesigned a more captivating website using images shared by customers; this served to engage website visitors and incorporate product placement.

Menu Redesign
I also redesigned the Blank Space Café menu to following the branding of the logo resign. I used the same font and color palette to maintain consistency.

Visual Ad Flyers
I designed some advertisement flyers for Blank Space Café, placing emphasis on customer photos of their items. The flyers were based on special events or deals the business can do to attract more customers.
